Tim O'Donell
Tim O'Donnell first began studying Gyrotonic in 2000. He came to the work due to an injury received while dancing and was impressed by the speed with which he recovered. Tim went on to become a certified trainer, which proved to be a valuable complement to his practice as a massage therapist and bodyworker. Not only did Gyrotonic provide fresh ideas and new ways of working, his clients greatly improved from pairing the two to form a more holistic treatment plan. Tim's approach is rooted in a deep sense of listening, both in what his clients say directly and what their bodies are saying physically. His aim is to discover what stands in the way of them becoming who they are and then to work in a way that facilitates change and a greater capacity to engage in life.
Tim holds an MFA for Arizona State University, has over 12 years experience as a bodyworker and is a professional dancer. He is excited to teach, study, and share his information and experience at Gyrotonic New York.
