Kate Pagliasotti draws upon nearly 20 years as a modern dancer and eight years as a personal trainer and instructor of the Gyrotonic Expansion System® in her therapeutic work. Her interest in Chinese Medicine began while she was dancing, when she personally experienced how acupuncture helped her heal from injuries, integrate her body more fully, and bring her to a place of quiet awareness. In 1999, she decided to study Chinese Medicine, and enrolled in Tri-State College of Acupuncture. She received training in the pragmatic, meridian approach of the school’s founder, Dr. Mark Seem, as well as a solid foundation of classical Chinese Medicine. She was also exposed to Japanese and Five Element acupuncture, and to many gifted practitioners of diverse backgrounds. She received a Master’s Degree in 2002, and became a licensed acupuncturist in New York State. Since graduation, she has been on the faculty at Tri-State, and maintains practices in New York City and in Croton-on-Hudson, NY.
